Smedjebacken

In the county of Dalarna you find the municipality called Smedjebacken where around 10 700 inhabitants live. By the lake Norra Barken the urban are of Smedjebacken is to be found. As the swedish name discloses the city has strong connections to the iron history, mostly though Smedjebackens Walswerk. The city is known for its old forges, mines and booths which was used for iron production and shipping.
